  Great little pub with excellent food. Lovely courtyard for summer drinks and occasional acoustic live music.
  Great Cocktails although occasionally service can be slow when busy. Also Worth a visit on Monthly market days for a drink to escape the masses.

  Great beer garden that's a real sun trap for early summer drinks.
  
  The above was shown a year ago but not posted... Unfortunately I've now changed my rating from 4 stars to 2.
  
  The management have recently decided to make half of the tables in the garden "no smoking". While I appreciate this may appeal to some, it's been done in a way that means all of the remaining tables are in the shade (the garden is L-shaped)...not great for smokers in the summer.
  
  Also, last week I had lunch here... A simple club sandwich with a side of fries. Unfortunately for something simple it was not very nice. It cost £9 and for the price I expected a lot better. The fries were served in a cup (yes, a cup) which I think was done for presentation but meant few actual fries.
  
  If you want better food and a beer garden with more sun for everyone, I'd suggest The Artisan... I had a club sandwich there yesterday which was much better too!

  Great building full of quirks and original charm. Food good, British gastropub style. Some decent real ales on. Service very good. The place is pretty stylish and would be a good first date location to impress.
  I'd recommend it.
